when you head down to the casino to go out into the street (yes you have to go through the casino) you will notice that its stinks of stale tobacco as smoking is allowed, if you have a respotory problem avoid this hotel like the plague. needless to say it was a terrible experience. the carpet was also in bad need of replacement. I can't put in words how worn out and seedy it was, the built in cupboards are broken and sad looking, the windows have a film on them that makes looking out impossible and the curtains must be the originals as they were worn out full of holes and it was a mission to slide them closed. you think your getting a good deal for the room until they add all the taxes and resort fees, I can understand the taxes but the resort fees ? (they are the same as the hotel fees) you dont get anything for those fees, the fridge has been removed from the room as has all coffee/tea making facilities, shampoo/soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty (forget a newspaper) you get nothing but and old worn out smelly room that is way over the time for a complete refurb.
i will try and explain why you should avoid this hotel at all costs. We booked 3 nights into the Luxor (the pyramid) hotel thinking it would be a good experience, we were very very wrong.
